Maritime

The Maritime sector of Scott Wilson provides a lead in undertaking transport related infrastructure projects. In particular, we are able to use the; geotechnical, structural, project management, refurbishment and coastal resources available within the wider Scott Wilson Group.

The maritime group of Scott Wilson in Australia is currently based in a new office in North Sydney which is part of Scott Wilson's objective to build a permanent presence in Australia, providing high value consulting engineering services to clients, that are well integrated with the significant resources and expertise of the world wide Scott Wilson Group in the near future. Scott Wilson also intend to establish a local maritime presence in Brisbane to assist with the delivery of Queensland based projects. The Maritime group has a varied client base which includes: government, contractors, other multi discipline consultants, commercial and private clients.

This office is managed by Alan Betts, who has significant experience in the planning, design and construction of a wide variety of port and transport related infrastructure, as well as a wealth of local NSW knowledge, contacts and experience. Alan is assisted by a team of other experienced maritime engineers, both locally based and overseas.

Scott Wilson engineers and project managers have been working in Sydney for the last year as the principal maritime design consultant for the consortium delivering the $600M Port Botany Container Terminal Expansion which has involved more than 50 professionals located in many different countries. This is testimony to the high profile and international reputation that Scott Wilson has for the design and delivery of maritime related infrastructure and transport projects around the world.

The Maritime group of Scott Wilson is a leading player in the design of modern container terminals, liquefied natural gas terminals, and waterfront leisure and commercial developments, providing design and management solutions for the following schemes:
